Absent Breast Development
Occasionally women develop very small breasts, or almost no breast tissue develops in puberty. This can be very distressing. Surgery can be undertaken to correct this problem in the form of breast augmentation. This maybe recognised as Reconstructive Surgery by Medicare if the breast tissue is particularly underdeveloped, and if so some rebates can be claimed for surgery.
